Possible Change Of Plans For Christmas.
16 Answers
We always go to daughters, apart from last year. All arranged for us to go and stay for two nights. But grandson has announced he is going to France skiing and to a festival, not arriving home until 24th December. He has to do lots of tests when he comes home, some not until home 3 days. We will be there then. OH has got a bit twitchy about it. He is very nervy about it all as he has had cancer twice and feels very vulnerable.
I think it would be better for us to stay at home and just do a doorstep exchange of pressies like we did last year. What do you good folk think?

That way you and your husband would face no greater risk than that involved in your original plan but you'd still get to spend time with your daughter. A Christmas get-together doesn't actually have to include Christmas Day; it's only a number on a calendar.
It was actually daughter who brought this to my attention, knowing how twitchy he is. I asked how she would feel if we didn't go, she fully understood and said we could possibly celebrate later next year.
Another reason he feels twitchy is another family of dad and four children normally come along on Christmas Day. We have no idea how keen they are on testing. My family all test every other day.
