Lateral Flow

Got some from Boots today and neighbour had shown me the other day how to do it. A little confusing for anybody elderly.

She does one every day and has been ok, today she has runny nose and watering from the eyes and had to get PCR test some hours ago.

She has been very careful throughout this Covid -

PS - my test told me I was pregnant - the wee red line came up and so for the moment I am clear.

I did my lateral flow test at the urinals and ended up weeing over the guy next to me

Someone on TV recently showed a lft test which he said showed he was posative. The line pointed to C not T. I wonder if anyone else like my wife thinks C means covid (c is for control ).I can see it is confusing

that's right Bobbs - only for neighbour telling me I would of(have) thought C meant Covid too. I understand that.

That makes sense but it might be better to use diffrent letters or positive and negative

There's a control check to make sure you put something in. Presume it's to stop you putting nothing in or putting water in. Altho someone on here said someone put water in to fool it to get a negative so am not certain

Control means it shows test is working. If you get a positive the c line would still show meaning the test has worked

so if you were positive - I think according to the wee manual - line would come like plus sign. Is that correct.

Maybe it is a plus but looks like a T on mine.

no bobbs - I mean the red line wouldn't look like a minus sign it would show up as a plus sign. (I think)
