Sqad is spot on. I usually drive myself so rarely use a taxi. £60 there and back plus tips of course was rather a shock. But it is what it is. Cheers;-)

I recently had to plan a trip to Newport in Wales, and you could find out exactly how much a local taxi was per mile. Very helpful.

Just got a quote from my local taxi company's app (not Uber) for what I know is a journey of 10.7 miles. Estimate is £27.50.
