City breaks
We're planning a short city break in February to Rome - my question is - do prices normally come down after Christmas and/or are there many last minute deals to Rome?

I've just tried a theoretical booking for 2 people using Ryanair's flights and hotels. Flying out from Stansted early on Thursday 16 Feb and returning from Rome early on Sun 19 Feb, I got a lowest price of about 103 per person. This includes return flights, all taxes and charges, pre-booked coach transfers to central Rome and 3 nights accommodation in a twin-bedded room. I very much doubt that waiting until later would reduce those prices. Indeed, the opposite is far more likely.
If you live reasonably close to an airport served by Ryanair, I suggest taking a look at their website to see if there are flights and hotels to suit your needs:
http://www.ryanair.com/site/EN/
(Some flights to Rome are currently being offered as 'Free', i.e. taxes and charges only)
To pre-book the coach from Ciampino Airport to the city centre (40 minute journey), see here:

Hoping this helps,
Chris

Hi Bphang!
Package prices tend to stay fairly constant these days. This is not to say that bargains don't exist but I suspect that there are more people who find 'last-minute disappointment' rather than 'last-minute bargains'.
If you post again, stating the dates on which you wish to travel and the county you live in, then I'll be happy to explore the possibilities for you.
