Today I purchased two swim suits in Asda, £12.50 each, fit perfectly, look lovely, cheap as chips..almost!
If I was to tell you how much time, effort and money I’ve spent recently trying to find one which fits, is comfortable, and looks ok on a lady of a certain age, you’d probably be astounded/not the least bit interested. However, I’m delighted, I’m delighted to say. Hoorah for Asda!
(We’re having a family holiday to France in May which is what these purchases are for, the villa has a pool and then there’s the gorgeous coast)

never used to have any problem. The women of today are just too picky.

His new specs, choux ;) How the heck are you and him, choux, any/much progress??
A quick tip. Check it doesn't go see through when wet, before you go swimming.
It's 'Suit you Sir ...'.
Nowt wrong with Asda gear. Where in France are you holidaying, Vagus?

Hopkirk, I don’t care :)
Ile de Re, Haz.
Andy, I know.. :/
New specs - someone's splashed out!

We plod along, thanks. Went for a blood test this a.m. and asked for a phone appointment with regular GP before 13th March, we have a phone call on that date from a hospital co-ordinator for an outstanding op. Receptionist said they would phone back by tomorrow.

She phoned at lunch time - GP wants a face2face and offered 10th March. We have a scan at another hospital that day. GP's next f2f appointment is 26th March...

I could say something, but won't ;)
Checked it out - looks lovely. Happy Holidays to look forward to.

Keep on keeping on, choux, you’re doing a pretty wonderful job x
If I lived nearer (I don’t even know where you live) I’d be round with some of my homemade flapjacks (surprisingly good for a first attempt) and gin..you’d need the gin to help the flapjacks down…

Thanks Haz, we’ve been before a few years ago, it was lovely. This will be the first time with family, including outlaws, so although I’m looking forward to it, I also have some reservations. I keep thinking a few glasses of wine and I won’t care who’s there!
I usually buy the longer body length ones from adidas, it's better now they do more modest ones , especially with shorts style legs. Mine are definitely for swimming not lounging by a pool,
As Sinatra would have sung, Vagus. The outlaws can drink the water and you will drink the wine! x
A gentle paddle in the pool is ok, but the last time I went in the sea, at Woolacombe, it beat me up big time. Never again!
Vagus, you have plenty of time to knit a new cossie. My mother used to knit our cossies and trunks
Yes I remember those Barrie and how ! they drooped in the water
They certainly did, Rosie, and weighed us down. I once stood up in the shallows at Brean (yes, the tide was in!) and my new knitted trunks slunk down to my ankles. I was old enough to be mortified but not old enough to frighten the horses
