//National Trust members have complained about a charity calendar that excludes Christmas and Easter - while including other religions' festivals.

The 'inclusivity and wellbeing' calendar, which has been provided for volunteers, includes Hinduism's Diwali, and Islam's Eid and Ramadan.//

It's inclusive - except for those it excludes.   What was that about charity beginning at home?

I seem to recall the management there went off the rails some time ago.

It did, OG.  I cancelled my subscription ages ago for that very reason.

I thought this was discussed the other day but I can't find the thread...

Corby, It was mentioned briefly in a post in another thread.  I don't think anyone commented on it.

Perhaps that's what's wrong with the National Trust, OG.  : o)

Ah.... thanks, thought I was going mad(der) for a minute...

And would anyone expect anything else?

Unfortunately as I have a life membership its difficult to cancel without cutting off my own nose.  So I fight from within, also being a member of Restore Trust.

Has anyone seen this calendar?

Christmas mentions galore on the website.

Its not on their website - anyone know where I can buy one?

roy - still don't see it - can you give me an actual link please

ta very much

Nope, can't find it.

I'm wondering if it's an internal calendar rather than for the general public to buy?

cheers roy - nope deffo not on their site and if tis a 2024 they are leaving it late to publish it.

There are plenty of NT calendars available for  2024.

If you want one without Xmas mentioned then you will have to become a volunteer.

It would be a good idea to read beyond the headline of the mail article.

It's a dear game joining that lot.

The Mail piece clearly reads "calendar, which has been provided for volunteers,". I don't suppose it includes Yom Kippur or Passover either. No Christion or Jewish volunteers give their time there it would seem. It was I who mentioned this on the thread that was discussing met bias. I used it as an example of a theme that is running through our traditional organisations apparently with official sanction from our law and order forces and Parliament itself. I wonder if the RNLI would have been queuing up to rescue the illegal immigrants in boats if they had happened to be mainly Jewish or Christian.

I you have a copy, or can obtain one Ymb, it may be informative if the publisher/printer of the calendar is shown on it.
