This beggars belief. They new they were covering it up yet they allowed hundreds to be prosecuted, some jailed, some committed suicide. Yet they spent more on a cover up than it would have cost to come clean. Surely fraud and PTCOJ have been committed. I hope to see the nasties who perpetrated this in the slammer.
Apologies, another PO thread but I think it needs airing.

altho there are various (29) bugs in the Horizon system - not one can be shown to have caused the losses reported in any case.
Lee Castleton lost because he said it was the Callender Sq bug in court, and Anne Chambers ( who later earned 4 d in the inquiry being cross examined) said "oh no I know a lot about that one and it isnt" and the judge accepted that.
so Lee lost on causation - £250 000 down.
Anne later wrote an ignored memorandum " what we did wrong"
Of the little I’ve seen of the Post Office Scandal Enquiry, everyone giving evidence on behalf of the PO is suffering from acute amnesia, even when shown documentary evidence proving their actions.
At present all are hiding behind the enquiry (can’t comment), and when it comes to their turn, will no doubt suffer a similar memory loss.
