Does anyone have recent experience of buying Paris metro tickets since they have discontinued the traditional carnet? Also does anyone know whether you can still buy metro tickets on Eurostar? I'd be very grateful for any advice.
I found this info re the new system. But someone will come along later who has better info. Meanwhile

Impatiens; The metro ticket system is in the process of changingl so there'll probably be lots of smartphone waving and using of plastic cards, but it appears to be retaining the old tickets for the time being. We'll be going back to Paris in July and staying in our secret rural hideaway until September. My hunch is that we'll still be able to use our tickets in Paris this year. Have a good trip.
When we got here in April, the weather was lovely, but it soon started to get cold and rainy, so we couldn't do much in our veg garden and I only joined the petanque lads three times in 5 weeks. I expect in a few weeks I'll be moaning about the heat-wave. We just missed the flooling in the heart of Montmorillon, but our car insurance office was flooded and our village bank branch was closed for an overhaul, and our telephone incoming cable was suffering from old age insulation damage so we had no phone or internet for nearly a fortnight and couldn't use the car for a few days. Apart from that it was lovely.
