In addition, if I can see the establishment, I have a better feel for what I am booking. For a hotel, I want to see the exterior, lobby, dining room, and guest rooms.
Is this what you meant?
The last couple of holidays we've had its all been booked online, from airport car parking, flights, car hire, hotels and trips, and not one mistake/problem. You get the chance to compair plenty of options, look at the place, find out whats covered/included etc and see what other people think of the place. Not to mention you can seriously take your time in deciding as well if you like.
The question should have been why go to the high street to book a holiday!!!!, get offered one or two hotels with little/no details about them feel presured to make a decision there and then, and in our case the last time we used one get to the hotel to find an error has been made by the travel agent, luckly they still had space for us!!
