Berlin

I am going to Berlin for a long weekend the end of April with a group of lads (men!) late 20's early 30's. Can anyone advise where is the best part to stay if were after the equivalent of Londons West End?
Also, any sugestions on what to do as an alternative to all day/night drinking?

No need to worry about things to do in the evening, Berliners are very friendly and will take care of you if you drink to much, the paramedics wear leather jeans, and sport big moustaches, and will make sure you get back to bed safely.
