Has anyone been back to this area of the former Yugoslavia since the wars that took place in the 90's? I would like to travel inland to this region where my family came from, but are unsure as to what I will find - a lot was burned down during the wars. Thank you

My family are still all over the former Yugoslavia (mainly croatia and slovenia) and it really depends on what citys/towns you are planning on going to. I know some of my family left for other parts because of the lack of supplies and tension. But the smaller towns are relatively untouched.
