Too vague a question. Are you wanting real italian food? foreign food (what a pity)? a cheap meal, a good value for money meal? Don't whatever you do look for a pizzaria, these are for tourists.
We used a restaurant in Via Cavour - I think it was about number 45. Five minutes from Termini and very lively. Good Italian food and amazingly sensible charges. Cannot remember name but the address is v close.

To be fair, any restaurant really, Italian, Fish, European, just somewhere with a good atmosphere, great food and even better wine!

I know of a really good one near the Trevi Fountain, Its called Il Chianti and i went there with my lovely girlfriend not so long ago and had the most amazing time.

Thank you very much Beastly, strangely enough my wonderful boyfriend actually took me there when we were in Rome. It was recommended to us by an Italian, which is always a good sign.

It truly is an amazing restaurant and not a tourist in sight. We were the only non Italians in there and it was heaving. Recommend booking a table for anyone thinking of going.
