Has anyone stayed at the Hampton Inn on Robson Street? Would you recommend it or do you have any other recommendations for hotels or B&Bs in Vancouver. Thanks.

Hi Mahonia

Like in a pickle i'm very jealous, vancouver is a lovely city, one of my favourites!

We stayed at the Fairmont Waterfront, quite pricey but we were on our honeymoon, we upgraded to their gold level and the bed and suite was huge!!

Have a lovely time.

I have to second what has been said about Vancouver. My daughter lives there and it is beautiful. We also stayed at the Fairmont Waterfront and it is lovely but a bit pricey. The hotels on Robson all looked ok from the outside and it is very central. Granville is a little less so but not that far. While you are there you must hire a Bike and cycle round Stanley Park it was wonderful. We are going back in May but will be able to saty with our daughter this time as they just bought a house. I am getting very excited. Have a wonderful time - I am sure you will.
We stayed at The Landmark on Robson Street (the best area) we had a room on a very high floor (can't remember which) at the back of the hotel. We overlooked Stanley Park, Lion Gate Bridge and a lovely view of the bay. You will have a WONDERFUL time.
Have a look here http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotels-g154943-Vancouver_British_Columbia-Hotels.html it rates it at Number 1. Read the reviews from customers.
