Do you need a passport to fly from.....and London airports to Edinburgh? If i just need photo ID will a provisional license do?

check with the airline but provisional licence should be fine. i flew from cardiff to edinburgh with one. for internal you just need something with your photo on and government issued so thats okay but a bus pass or work id wont do.

Ryanair are very picky about what they accept (see their web site) http://www.ryanair.com/site/EN/faqs.php?sect=pid&quest=photoid


I assume it saves staff training costs - they don't have to make tricky decisions.


Other airlines are more pragmatic but all will want photo id.
