We went in 2003 (took our two youngest girls, then aged 13 and 15) and we all absolutely loved it, having since been back as just a couple in 2004 and with my sis and her hubby last year who also loved it.
The place is actually a collection of small beaches/coves which all have their own "personality." We stayed right next Cala Gran beach which is the largest, and also very close to the centre which has loads and loads of relaxing bars and restaurants in a no-traffic area and nice shops for the laydeees and teenagers.
The thing we liked most is that most bars had background music which was just that, in the background, although if you want them, there are noisier bars such as karaoke places and fun/family/english type pubs that you always get. The bars we used (the former) made for a very relaxing night out to sit and have a drink and people-watch. There are a couple of nightclubs but being the wrong side of 40 we never even ventured in them! (Never really been a great nightclub lover).
There were "pockets" of bars and restaurants just about anywhere you went but hardly any of them were "in your face."
There was a place about 5 minutes walk from the centre with lots of kids activities, (trampolines, rides etc.) which were near to bars so parents could keep an eye on them whilst enjoying a drink, and also a beautiful marina ten minutes walk from the centre. It all depends what you're looking for, we loved it, but will probably leave it for a few years before we return, (got to try some other places).
Inej, what sort of holiday do you like, karaoke/entertainment or relaxing drinks type? The centre of the resort with all the bars is more relaxing and the other sort (I suppose it would suit families with kids who need entertaining) start just minutes walk from there.
There is a bar called the Red Lion which has videos/karaoke and pool and other games just near all the "quiet" bars, and others slightly further away. There's a big bar with a pool and other things for kids which has entertainment/stars in their eyes type shows every night although they're not our cup of tea.
The trampoline place is called Mallorcalandia or something like that. There's trampolines, little motorbikes and other things although we didn't actually investigate as our kids are too old for that now and like to sit and chat with us or go round the shops. Hope you enjoy it.
No, not this year, we've been three years on the trot so although we definitely will return some time in the future we're trying other places for a while.
Just looking at the write-ups for your accommodation it seems you've got a good place to stay (spacious and spotlessly clean with entertainment laid on) although it is a little way out of the centre. Just make sure you make the effort to go to the bars in the centre (about 5 minutes by taxi) and you'll have a really relaxing time.
