With today's technology, the poster of this question may be buying something online from a European online store and getting it shipped to the UK.
I know that I always try to find the cheapest deal and work out Euros to s in case the European shops are cheaper.
Even if (s)he is going out of the country the same still applies. For example, pair of trainers costing 30 is more expensive than the same pair of trainers costing 30 euros - which would you buy?
For the sake of a quick calculation, I'd go for the cheaper ones!! A saving of almost 10 at today's exchange rate.
And at higher priced items, the saving is obviously increased proportionally!!
