Methinks you are not English ?
If you are or not, you sound as though the Lake District is what you need.
Most beautiful place in England.

In the top left of England, with loads of lakes and loads of mountains (England highest at over 3,000 feet).
Loads of hotels, guest houses and B&Bs at all prices.
Here is one (expensive) hotel, but there are loads of others it that is too much.

I know a lot about the Lake District so if you want to know more just ask.
And to convince you here is just one picture

So if you are not English then let me help you out with how to find our places of mountains, lakes and serenity.
The major places of national beauty in the UK are classed as National Parks. There are 15 of them I think, and you can find out more about them here.
http://www.nationalparks.gov.uk/index/p_visiting.htm
The Lake District is one of them.
I see from another append you are moving to Hull, so other national parks near you would be the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Dales.
Other beautiful areas that are not big enough to be national parks are called Areas of Outstanding National Beauty (AONB).
There are 50 of them and you can read about them here
Each of these places will have their own tourist information centres where you can find out about places to stay and things to do.
For example here is the official web site of the Cumbria (lake district) tourist information board.

btw which country are you from ?
