length of M25

Does anyone know how long is the M25 is?

117 miles according to the site www.iht.org. It certainly feels a lot longer when you're stuck on it. Apparently it's the longest bypass in the world.

It's also the world's largest car park! I've heard rumours that NCP are putting in a bid to own it.

Thanks for the replies I have recently purchased a new motorcycle and need to carefully run it in so ten times round the M25 should do the trick

ukkid76 - how do you feel about doing an experiment? I 'd be interested to know the difference in distance between going around the M25 in each direction, ie inner ring versus outher ring. Biggest difference would be on the inside lanes, but I guess a bikker couldn't stay there long!

Pinotage I will try but the speedo on the bike does not count in tenths as most mileometer do, and only if it's not raining!!!
