can someone tell me what type of electrical plugs are used in australia? ta for any help.

If I remember rightly two pin plugs

Yep - they have their own design not used much elsewhere. They can be two or three pin - the distinguishing feature is that the live and neutral prongs are angled rather than parallel and flat rather than round.
Hi red armada- Im here at the moment and its always 3 prongs in the plug sockets- but they work with 2. You can but adaptors in tescos and asdas etc for about a fiver. Bring a couple- you need at least two- think about phone charging, hair dryers, straighteners etc
we use two or three pin. shaped like a triangle. also 240 voltage
