Travelling Question (�2500 budget)

I really want to go travelling next year for 3months but the love of my life! is concerned about the whole cost.

We have priced up the cost of the flights and it's a total of �1000. We probably have a budget of about �2500. Will �1500 see us able to survive in hostels over the 3 months? Also, what is the average price of a hostel a night?

Please help I'm so confused as it's something I've always wanted to do!!!!
