I am hoping to go to France in July - can anyone recommend a nice area to go - the requirements are a gite/cottage for 4 adults, ideally with a pool nearby tennis courts and not too far away from a town. We will probably drive and don't want to go too far south.

Found it www.bvdirect.co.uk

We have used these on several occasions and found them very good. Not one bad experience.

Thank you ever so much!
you can obtain a copy of a free magazine called Chez Nous(they advertise in most sunday papers) which people like myself (private owners) advertise in. It lists properties in all areas of France togrther with local details. It will give you a good idea of what pices to pay. Big saving can be made on ferry crossings, I have just returned from a 4 day trip,Eurotunnel 178 Norfolk Line 49 !!! New company from Portsmouth LD Lines, a lot cheaper than Brittany Ferries. Hope this is of use to you.
