Has anyone been to Clontarf, Brisbane? I am considering visiting a relative I have not seen in many years and would like to know what it is like and the best time to go. Thanks.

Havent been to Clontarf, but been near Surfers Paradise about 50 miles south of Brisbane. Brisbane is a fantastic city and I think Australia is out of this world. I love it.

It is so clean and the people are friendly so if I were you go.

Both times we went were September October which is their spring. Temperature around 30 degrees.

Only problem is the flight. The second time we went we didnt stop apart from re-fuelling and the flight was 24 hours. First time we stopped at Singapore for three nights with Singapore Airlines. That was something as well. No quite so hot but very humid but it broke the trip up nicely.

As I said go if you have the chance

There can't be more than two people in the whole wide world who have ever gone to Clontarf on a visit! Besides embracing your relative and meeting the (very) few neighbours, whatcha gonna DO when you're there? See Google Earth, 27 58 46.17 S 151 14 49.13 E Ooo-er! (Singapore's nice though).
