5 miles to get milk ? That is heaven.
So I've got Allders, House of Fraser, IKEA, Debenhams, Beanos, about 30 each of Tesco/Sainsbury/Asda, countless ethnic grocers, red buses, loads of trains, 12 mins to Victoria, hustle and bustle, but I have to cycle about 5 miles to find any decent countryside.
You've got Yeovil ? I see no contest :)

In Letchworth (herts) for work but live in little village in mid beds. Countrysides great unless you suffer from hayfever, which thankfully I don't seem to get much any more. Only problem is lack of public transport/pubs. Can't drive anywhere for a drink or get a bus and taxis cost a mint.
