Bus from Alicante Airport to Albir

Does anyone know if there is a local bus from the airport in Alicante to Albir, or any other form of transport rather than a taxi?

The only bus service from Alicante Airport, which goes near to Albir, runs just 4 times per day to Benidorm (5km from Albir). (Fare = 7 euros)

From Benidorm to Albir, there's a bus every half hour, with a 1 euro fare.

Since the Benidorm bus service is so infrequent, it would probably be better to pre-book your transfer. I've just tried some random dates and times in August. Shuttle Direct offered a return trip for �24.33 per person:

The previous answers were somewaht out of date. Here is a an updated link to information for bus and coach times from Alicante aiport to Albir Playa. There are now 13 daily buses to Benidorm (chamge for Albir) or you can take a transfer coach directly which you have to pre-book. Coach is the quickest way to ge there now. Hope that is a help!
