Amalfi Coast Italy
I've seen photos of the Amalfi coast and would love to visit. Has anyone been there and where is the best place to stay, nearest airport etc.?

Napoli (Naples ariport is the closest airport) an hours drive.
Lots of good hotels around, amalfi, vietri sul mare, ravello, scala, minori, maiori etc etc. Best people to go to is www.citalia.co.uk
Best hotel, if you have the dosh, is Palazzo Sasso in Ravello. Very expensive but beutiful hotel. Lots of lovely hotels in Amalfi, Hotel Cappucino is one, which is situated on top of a cliff overlooking the bay.

Sorrento is my absolute favourite place. I have been there 5 times and can't wait to go back. Have done the Amlfi drive by coach - hair raising and also by boat - beautiful. May seems to be the best time to go there as it's not too hot. It is expensive but it is beautiful, with so much to see and do, and yes you fly to Naples airport.
