full names on travel tickets
Hi everyone I am quite new to travelling abroad, we have booked a holiday and I gave the name I am know as Liza which I never thought twice about when we booked, but after watching Airline on tv I was wondering if I should have booked them under my full name Elizabeth which is on my passport. As a guy had to rebook is tickets as he was using the name Kit and his full name was Christopher. Should I go to my travel agents and change it.

Your travel agents should have pointed this out to you, though - that's what travel agents are for - so if there's any cost you might suggest they should pick it up..
JNO i am not sure that the travel agent should pick up the expenditure for what is clearly the passengers mistake. At the time of the booking the travel agent does not have the passport at hand. A lot of details are taken down by the agent including dates of birth and the passenger should be responsible for what information he/she is giving the travel agent who is lgging it on the system.

hi everyone thanks for the replies. I went up and got my name changed. They did not charge me, it depends on the person at the airline sometimes they carge 20. She did say they should have asked. Could have been because my name does not sound like a nickname if it had been Liz they would have asked.
All fixed now, just as well I watch rubbish tv when I am bored lol.
