I used the hotel club for the first time recently to book a hotel for my boss. They showed a really good rate and availability at his chosen hotel, i went through the whole booking process and after completion they tell you the reservation is not confirmed and they will tell you if it's confirmed within 2 days. My boss then received an email saying the hotel was unavailable and they'd booked him into a different one instead! Wasn't happy so cancelled the booking.

I ended up going with Hotelopia instead.I've used these b4 with no problems,so better the devil you know as they say....I don't suppose you've heard if Hotels are not accepting vouchers anymore.I'm sure I've heard it but can't remember where or when...... There is a possibility that I could have dreamt it tho........
sorry, not sure about the vouchers
Hi Vikki
If you mean hotelclub.net, then I have used them many times and have had good prices and no problems. I usually check with other sites as well and hotelclub is often (but not always) the most competitive.
I went to Amsterdam a few weeks ago and used them with no problem - in fact the hotel had my name and didn't even want the voucher.
In response to Kirsty's answer, I think that you have to be careful when you book the hotel. Some hotels will show as immediate confirmation (if the booking button is red) and obviously confirm immediately (!!) Others will say booking will be confirmed within 24/48 hours (if the booking button is blue) Again I have never had a problem.
In addition, you are able to collect 'member dollars' and after a few trips, It will often pay for a free night somewhere.
Good luck and happy holidays
