Baggage allowance??

My husband and i are travelling with our 2 children to Florida, we have a total baggage allowance of 80kg - does this have to pack 4 x 20kg cases or can we have 2 x 40kg?? Many Thanx

It depends who you're flying with. Check out your airline's website, they will definitely have the information on there.
'Fraid it's the four cases. Baggage handlers in the UK won't lift any piece weighing over 32 kg any more. Health and Safety, and all that.
many airlines now limit any single item to 20kg to prevent lifting injury.
As has been said already, give your travel agent a ring or look at the website of your chosen airline.


Who are you flying with by the way?
I flew the other day, and watched someone try and check in a bag which was 45kg. They were told that BA was not going to take it, as it was.

They were told that each person had a 6kg handbag allowance, so they were given the option to take 6kg each. They didn't like that option.

They were then pointed in the direction of a bag shop, and told that they were going to have to split the contents.

From the looks of this, you could take upto 80kg, as long as one bag doesn't weigh over 30kg.
