I'm getting married in 4.5 weeks but havent booked a honeymoon yet. Anyone know what the score is with flying when you've already got a DVT?

advice from g p or hospital needed especially if on warfarin
I've had the same problem, i'm flying on Friday but my blood clot has now dispersed. I think you will find that because you've been or being treated for it, it won't be a problem. Just make sure you take all the precautions (flight socks, move about etc) I was told to not to worry and act as you normally would. Enjoy the honeymoon!!!

many thanx! will do!
far be it for me to be negative in this instance, but you will need to think carefully about what you tell your insurers. eg be truthful and run the risk of it being very expensive or hard to obtain (my daughter was disallowed from last year's family holiday because of that), or not to declare it and run the risk of invalidation if anything happens.
I was honest about mine my DVT when booking and surprisingly they didn't have a problem with it, i've got the same cheap insurance as the rest of the family - honestly is always the best policy, even if you have to pay more.
