Neither i or anyone else i know who has used these products has had a fake tan disaster with them.
So thats a good start . . .
Definatly the best thing to do before using fake tan is to have a shower and exfoliate. This means you have got rid of all the dead skin and you are applying the product to new skin.
This avoids getting blotchy patches of fake tan. As I said it is harder to do with the above products BUT as with all fake tans it is possible.

.Before you apply the tan though make sure your skin is properly dry after your shower as I find the product doesn't apply as well on wet or damp skin and it may go on more unevenly as it will absorb more in some places than others, which you don't want.
These products are really easy to apply so just use them as you would a 'normal' moisturiser - just rub it in evenly until its dry.
So my advice is to have a shower, make sure your skin is dried properly and then apply product evenly until it's dry.
I really don't think you can go wrong with these products if you do this, they are a god send!
So happy tanning and wait for the compliments about looking wel and healthy to come pouring in . . .

the skin around elbows/ankles as someone said is dryer so you should use the fake tan along with moisturiser on these areas. heard from boots staff that you shouldnt apply the fake tan straight after a shower as skin needs to be slightly acidic to absorb it and produce the best results. perhaps wait for a few hours after a shower? good luck!
