The ski season in the Sierra Nevada is roughly from December to April. During this period, snow machines can be used to compensate for any lack of snow but the weather is too warm for this from May to November.

Just got back from there - scorching sunshine, 36-38 deg C. Not a sign of any snow. Got a great tan, and did some swimming though!
