I used to hear of people who wanted to fly cheaply to America just turning up at the airport, and waiting for a flight to be available with seats free. Has anyone ever tried this, or got any idea of prices, or any advice? Thanks

A couple of weeks back we flew to Las Vegas with BMi.
There was only ninety people in the 200 seat economy class and premium was fairly empty as well. You could certainly have bought tickets at the Bmi desk a couple of hours before take off,
We are thinking of taking a chance next time, booking a week off work and then seeing what flights are available the day before we want to go.
Yes it's possible.

On the other hand it's very unlikely to be cheap - you'll probably pay the full economy, etc, fare.
I've heard it's no cheaper also. After the plane gets so ma ny on,not sure of percentage, it then becomes profitable,so as far as they're concerned, you either pay the full fare or don;t go.
You can get to New York, Miami, Bangkok, Tokyo, Buenos Aires & Mauritius as a BA courier. Ive never done it but have been told by someone who has that you basically fly for free, take a package with you, and you can come back a few days later.

The phone number is 0870 606 1133 if you fancy it.
