Hi, we're doing the Haute route (chamonix - Zermatt) later this month. We've never done it before but have hopefully prepared well for the journey, but we seem to be getting mixed info about the weather on the Alps this time of year. Does anyone know if it is likely to be hot? Also we'll be having early starts, probably around 4am, will it be around -10 then? We have all the correct clothing but bag space is valuable and anything I can remove would be helpful.
