budapest airport and around

What is there to do around Budapest Airport? Anything?

As part of my return flight from croatia to london I have to stop at budapest airport from 1600 - 0600 the next day.
Anyone know of anything I can do locally... I know Budapest is 10miles away - But I took this flight cos it was cheap and I dont really want to spend much money getting too and from Buda and having a night out.

Any suggestions?

I think that you'll find that Budapest airport is as bland as uninteresting as most other big airports.

I doubt that it would cost you very much to explore the city centre. The express bus (Service 200) is frequent (with 7 buses per hour around the time that you'll be arriving). The journey only takes 25 minutes from Terminal 2 or just 15 minutes from Terminal 1.

Airport is dull, dull, dull. Buda worth the effort lots of wee clubbie bars, natives v. friendly and public transport is abundant , reliable and very well used.
