me and my friends are exactly the same, I definatley would recommend Portugal its gorgeous, the resort we went to two years ago was called Albufeira was lively without been tacky and full of drunks trying it on with you. Just type in Albufeira in google and there will be loads of sites that come up.
Hi, I went to the algarve this summer for 2 weeks. Albufeira as suggested is meant to be the place for young people. as for car hire, you'll find it difficult finding a company who will hire anybody a car who is under 21. Most european countries ask for drivers to be over 21 and have been driving for at least 3 years. It varies from country to company... but I'd suggest checking out local public transport prices too just incase. Lou x
no idea about portugal, but in Tenerife, most rental companies want you to be over 23 for insurance purposes. Got nothing to do with law, just the company's insurance policies.
check out prai da rocha in the algarve, you wont go far wrong, good at night and day. fantastic beach, have a drink in " on the rocks" bar during the day, sit out the back and take in the lovely view. i love it there. just type in " car hire in portugal " you will find out all you need to know about the car. i always use a company called " car travel " in prai da rocha. their e-mail is*[email protected] * they are good people. hope this is a little help.
i went to the algarve on holiday. stayed at a place called carvoeiro. Lots of nice restaurants and bars. dont know about car hire. hope to be of help to you x
