As my wife dislikes travelling on the Underground, can anyone tell me which bus and/or buses we can take from King's Cross Station to Jury's Inn at Chelsea.
Many thanks

Use the Transport for London journey planner. You will need the address - but I think its a fairly new development so I've just keyed in Kings Road. You will need to go to advanced options to uncheck the tube as an option. It's prob a bit awkward not taking tube though

MMm just looked at the journey planner and it's three buses with bits of walking. If it's the weekend,Notting Hill Carnival is on so a lot of west london areas will be closed off. You may have to cab it if underground is not an option. Must people dislike tube - but it's about max 20 min direct from KX to Earls Court. Might be worth contacting the hotel to see if they do pick up?

I've checked the address from the hotel's website and then gone back to old-fashioned methods. (i.e. I've relied on paper maps):

Service 10 starts from King's Cross station, so it shouldn't be hard to find the bus stop. Take this service and alight at Kensington High Street underground station.

Transfer to service 328. The stop will either be the same one at which you alighted or very close by. (i.e. the bus will be going the same way as the one you just left). Alight at Kings Road.

You're then about a mile from the hotel. There are no buses which actually pass the hotel, so my advice would be to hail a black cab for the last mile. (If you want to get as close as you can by bus, take service 11 or 22, to Imperial Road and then walk to the hotel. These buses leave from the same stop, or one near to, the stop where you alighted from the 328, travelling in the same direction).

Me again!

The problem with doing things the old-fashioned way is that it's easy to overlook the blindingly obvious!

This is much better:

Take Service 10, as above. Alight at Knightsbridge.

Board Service 22. This will either be at the same stop as Service 10, or at an adjacent stop. (i.e. it will be going in the same direction).

Alight on New Kings Road, near to the junction with Imperial Road. Walk along Imperial Road to the hotel.
