new york -spokane, washington best route

what is the best way of getting to spokane, washington from new york? There arent any direct flights to spokane, they all take about 10 hours with transit time! Is it quicker to travel by train? is this possible?

It's something like a 2.5 DAY journey by train,changing in Chicago

2 and a half freaking days! My god...someone needs to make a direct flight from new york to spokane, this is outrageous!

I don't know where you're getting your information, but, as an example, you can leave Newark, NJ at 8:00AM and arrive Spokane 12:58 pm with a connection in Seattle. This happens to be on Alaska Airlines for $383 roundtrip... sounds pretty reasonable to me. The train is long distance... 2500 miles or better and is over 18 hours, NYC to Chicago and over 37 hours Chicago to Spokane...

the fastest flight from any new york airport to seattle is around 6 hours, so a 10 hour connection to spokane is not entirely unreasonable given today's security situation. from the east, you can only fly non-stop to spokane from chicago and minneapolis, connections via those places are unlikely to be any quicker.
