I sounds like you need to visit them and experience for yourself. It is important you know, understand and have experienced a country if you plan to purchase property there. Don't take someone else's or a property magazines word for it.
Cape Verde has been offering tourist travel for quite some time, but it has tended to struggle to attract people due to the fairly basic accomodation and facilities. In addition is has meant flights to Portugal before flying to Cape Verde. Overall holidays to CV were quite expesive compared to higher quality offerings around the Med and Middle East. If they can arrange direct flights and improve the overall standards, marketing and tourist faciliaties then CV could be come a very good destination with much higher tourism numbers.
