The official tariff for the journey (about 9 miles) is 7 Cyprus Pounds(about 8.50 GB), but they'll probably try to charge you more. As you leave Arrivals there's a taxi-rank right outside with the standard fares displayed on a large notice-board. Check that and agree the fare with your driver first. If you want a pre-booked taxi waiting for you they'll charge you the double journet plaus a bit - about 18-20 Cyprus. I wouldn't bother booking - there are always plenty of taxis around. Weather in October can be a bit unpredictable. Last year we had a real Indian Summer and the temperatures were up in the high 20s right into November, but usually you can expect low to mid 20s, sun most days. The first rain usually comes late October, so be prepared for the odd shower. You shouldn't have any heavy or prolonged rain - December and January are the wettest months. You might hit lucky and get no rain at all - sometimes it's mid-November before it arrives. Evenings can feel cool, so a light jacket/sweater might be useful - nothing too heavy.
