i am going to greece in a weeks time if i take money from my bank account while out there from an atm machine would i be charge.

yes, but it's still cheaper than changing the equivalent amount of euros at a uk bureau de change (except maybe at the Post Office).
Depends on your bank - Nationwide don't charge, the others do, but still better overall (by about 1%) than buying euros here.
Ask at your bank. When I went to Australia, as long as I used the ATM that my bank suggested, it cost nothing.
