skiing in sweden

I have been given return flights for a present to stockholm s skavsta airport in January and wondered if it is possible to go skiing near there. I have been told it is aprox. 100k from stockholm. Any info would be helpful. thanks

The nearest town to the airport is Nykoping, which is just 7km away:

A taxi to the station costs SEK140 or you can catch bus no 715 for about SEK20.
From there you could take a train to get closer to the skiing areas. Timetables are here:
