travel from nice to montecarlo

hopefuly going to the F1 next year as an independant traveller. If i hire a car or scooter what is the parking situation for getting to the race meeting from outside the city. Alternatively are shuttle buses put on for spectators?
any advise welcome - gary

parking is likely to be non-existent on race weekend, unless you're booked into a monaco hotel with parking included.

if you're hotel is in Nice, Monaco is but 25mn by train, and if it's in Menton the journey time is 12mn.

Yes - there are excellant train routes from Nice to Monaco/Monte Carlo. Buses from the airport to the train station are plentiful - Try here for more info :

the best way and probably cheaper than you think is a direct helicopter transfer from Nice airport to Monte Carlo - runs like a bus over the GP weekend.

We travelled by train from Nice to Monte Carlo. Absolutely fantastic views of the sea and large properties along the coast line were had! It's a bit of a walk from the train station which is at the top of Monte Carlo all the way into the centre of town. But the F1 track drive right past I think.
