Honeymoon tips please
I need some help! I am getting married in late June and need to book a honeymoon for myself and my wife to be! We would like to go somewhere warm where we can have a relaxing beach holiday. But also somewhere we can explore. We were looking at the Carribean but the weather isn't too good at that time of year. Does anyone have any suggestions? Europe or further afield, all suggestions welcome! Thanks

For a romantic honeymoon though, you might want to consider the Italian Riviera. Fly to Genoa (which has got plenty to explore, especially around the Old City) and then take the train along the coast to somewhere like Rapallo or Santa Margherita. The scenery is stunning (especially if you travel to the billionaire's resort of Portofino), the people are friendly, the weather should be great at that time of the year and the food in many of the restaurants is superb.

You could spend a few days in the hectic city of Bangkok, then enjoy the rest of your honeymoon on the beautiful island of Koh Samui - there's enough there to keep you busy for two or three days if you still had the energy after Bangkok.
If you do go for this trip, I highly recommend staying at the Sala Samui Resort & Spa on Choeng Mon beach on Koh Samui - absolute paradise.

Don't discount the Caribbean though! We went on honeymoon to St Lucia 3 years ago in the 'rainy season'. This meant there was rain most days BUT mostly at night or if during the day just a quick 30 minute downpour then absolutely beautiful either side and I'm so glad we went. We found the island fairly quiet as people tend to avoid the rainy season but there's really no need to.
firstly congratulations, why not try cyprus weathers always hot, beaches are great.we go to pratoras every year theres a beach called fig tree bay its beautiful.theres a lovely church at the top of a hill the view is so nice you can see for miles.the people are fab too.you could go on lots of boat trips its a lovely place to be

We went to Fiji and started of staying at the Hilton on the mainland which was fantastic fun and very romantic. The evenings entertainment was great. However be warned, the beaches there do not have clear blue waters, but dark and murky. You will have to travel out to the hotels on the outlying islands for that which is what we did after 3 days.

A bit late with a suggestion I'm afraid as I was away travelling but here goes anyway. What about Borneo? It's the most romantic place I've ever been to.start off with a few days in Kuching capital of Sarawak then hire a car and driver to take you to Batang Ai which is a tiny "island" in a huge reservoir in the middle of the rain forest. You can only reach it either by boat or by helicopter and as it is built entirely of materials(wood) cut down when the hotel site was cleared you are almost on top of it before you even know it's there.to add to the romance the entire hotel is built in the traditional longhouse style and you can take trips out to surrounding areas in a traditional longboat through pretty amazing scenery, add a couple of river trips when you are in Kuching and for the full effect add a few days at the coast at Damai Beach for pure away from it all romance.Oops forgot to say when you are in Kuching you can visit a Orang Utan sanctuary where you stand a good chance of meeting these amazing creatures.I'm 65 and very well travelled but it was the most amazing holiday of my life. The hotels are generally very good indeen (Hiltons and Holiday Inns) and the people are the friendliest I've met anywhere ENJOY wherever you choose
Hi, congratulations on your wedding!!!
I must agree with one of the previous posts.
We had wedding and honeymoon in the Seychelles and it was wonderful. I am not a beachy type person, I like to explore and my husband like little bit of fishing and everything we wanted was there! The sea and beaches are beautiful!!!!
