Antigua
We are considering a holiday in Antigua, has anyone any recommendations for hotels. I have read loads of reviews on the usual review sites and I'm just getting more and more confused. I though I had it sussed then just read the most awful review that has totally put me off that hotel. HELP!!!

It is really easy to get about as the taxis are air conditioned and cheap and everyone speaks great english and love the British as the island used to be British and the locals are all quite comfortable, they aren't poor like in other caribean countries and there are no beggars anywhere. I loved the hotel, it was very relaxed , I would recommend it for a really relaxed break.

Also when reading the reviews - how many are good? How many are bad?
Some of the bad reviews on Trip Advisor, for example, are because the parking is expensive! Or the hotel staff weren't very nice (ahem) - usually after the reviewer has jumped on them and they are then upset because they haven't been upgraded to a super duper room. Try to read between the lines.
I always use trip advisor.
