please can some one settle an ongoing argument.. me and gemma feel that a teacake is a bread bun with currents in.. however dave and chez think that it is just like a bread bun withno fruit in it! who is right!! thanks! x

A teacake (in the UK) is a flat, circular yeast based bun, usually cut in half, toasted and served buttered.

If it contains currants (not currents) then it is a currant teacake.
