What would the equivalant of �10 buy you in Kazakhstan ?
Anyone ever been there ?
Now I'm experiencing a strange desire to go to places like Russia,Kazakhstan,Palermo,Ukraine and Uzbekistan partly because you never hear anything about them even on the news (more so Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan).
Any opinions about these lesser well known destinations

Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan is dubbed the "Dubai of the Steppes" because of all the construction work going on. Check Google for pictures - it looks amazing.

Odd one out? I call Palermo. Why is it amongst former USSR republics? I'd say Italy is pretty famous.
