I'm in Washington fron Dec 24th to 30th. I'm gonna try and go to the Pentagon, the Lincoln Memorial, the White House, Arlington National Cemetary, National Air & Space Museum and the Capitol.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to :

a) which ones I could combine on the same day

or

b) anything else that I could visit/do?

Depending on your interests other parts of the Smithsonian Institution (Air and Space is just one site) may be worth a visit.

Cheers dzug - I had figured that bit out :o)
The Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, The Washington Monument, The National Museum of Natural History, The white House and The U.S. Capitol Building are all in fairly close proximity to one another and can be done in one long day. The National Air and Space Museum is at least half a day or more in itself. there are many other features seen here, including the Smithsonian...

Welcome to the U.S.!
Forgot to mention that The Pentagon is just a stones throw away from Arlington National Cemetery but they are both across the Potomac from the other features mentioned...

Thanks Clanad
I'd recommend a walk around the Tidal Basin and a visit to the Jefferson Memorial too - its my favourite of all the big memorials. Also make sure you see the Vietnam War Memorial and the Korean War Memorial - I find the Korean one particularly moving.
