Honest!! 1. Name the 8 members of the G8 international conference. I seem to have got 9...Germany,USA, UK,Canada,Japan,Italy,Russiia, France and the European Union. Is the last one an actual member? 2. Name the performer that connects a breakfast cereal and a pioneering fiction series. 3Which part of the UK is not represented in the Union Jack? 4. If it's raining in Nottingham on any given day, what are the chances of it being sunny in the same location 36 hours later? 5. How many LAND borders does the UK have with other nations. (Ignore the Channel Tunnel.) 6. Africa's shores touch two oceans and two major seas. Name all four. I have the Indian Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean, the Mediterranean Sea, but what other sea is there? The Suez is a Canal, so I can't count that surely? From which country is the UK governed (allegedly). Is the bracket information supposed to be amusing as in possibly Brussels!!! Or is this a trick question? And FINALLY, I just need confirmation of an answer 7. The 3 stripes on a sailor's collar are claimed to represent Nelson's 3 most famous victories. What were they? I have Trafalgar, The Nile, and is it Cape of St. Vincent OR Copengagen. Once again all my thanks. to everyone who has been so kind this morning.
4 - not much, it may be nighttime.
6 - Red Sea.
None - The UK is governed from London, England.
( at present, ignoring the Scottish and Welsh Assemlies )
A huge thank you to you all for all your help. I have spent the best part of this weekend answering 500 questions for a quiz, money being raised for Children in Need.
