Using the underground tomorrow. Can anyone tell me how to get from Liverpool Street Station to Portland Place (the nearest stations on the map are Great Portland St. and Regent's Park)? Is the best way along the Hammersmith/East London/Metropolitan line?

Circle/Metroplitan/Hammersmith and City lines to Great Portland Street.
Forget Regents Park - it's closed for refurbishment. Baker Street is the official alternative which is further than you want to be.
