has anyone been to lanzarote for the new year? ive been to the island three times but never at new year. i reckon its going to be fairly quiet. if anyone has where did you go and what was it like? we are going to be based in playa blanca, but i think pdc will be more lively. your thoughts please, tom.

I have one of my best NYE in Lanzarote a few years ago.
We were staying in Porto del Carmen and they had a MASSIVE street party. It wasn't for 2000 I think it must have been 2001 or 1999 (sorry my memory isnt great!)
Amazing time.
Not sure if they do it every year though.

Canaries are generally very busy over Christmas and New Year. Busier than the summer usually.
